Description
One of the highlights of the Minuteman Bikeway is its journey through some of Boston's famous historical sites, particularly in relation to the American Revolutionary War. The site of the Battle of Lexington and the famous Lexington Green, where the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired, are highlights.
As well as the historical interest, the Minuteman Bikeway also leads you through some picturesque green spaces, including woodlands and wetlands, and, in addition to the small towns through which you pass, there are plenty of picnic spots too.
You may be lucky enough to have this as your daily commute, but for the rest of us it's a lovely way to explore one of Boston's most interesting areas.
