A short, tight straight line
Freeride Skiing Extreme
A shorty but a goodie, Elevator chute is a short, steep straight line through aesthetic rocks and will spit you out into the open Cirque below. The best access is to stay high on the Cirque traverse - if you take the lower traverse you will ski right past it unless you sidestep up to the cirques rim. Elevator is easily recognizable by the rope hanging over the chute to help with avalanche control. Tip over the edge and straight line through the rocks into the wider part of the chute. This is not the time to try and slow down, take it to the bottom where it is much easier to slow down and stop.
