Description

A truly huge ski valley which is in turn linked into the World's largest ski area - there is genuinely a lifetime's worth of exploring to be done here, and these dozen lines will get you started on your journey.

There is a bit of everything in here and no matter what your freeride ski level, there should be a run for you. From fun and fast lines to steep, wild couloirs, anyone with the ability to ski off piste at a reasonable level will find something fun to go at in this guidebook. However, all of the routes here go into untamed and uncontrolled mountain terrain, so regardless of your ski level you'll need to be skilled and experienced at making decisions in avalanche terrain. If you're unsure about your ability to do this, hiring a guide might not be a bad idea.

The undoubted highlight in this guidebook is the "Gebroulaz Glacier - Mottaret" run - the ‘Vallée Blanche of the 3 Valleys' as FATMAP local expert Si Christy (https://www.offpisteskiing.com/) describes it. It's a wild run but not an overly technical one and one of the big "ticks" in any skier's career.

Once you've worked through these, ride a chairlift over the ridge into Méribel and get stuck into this lot!
