Freeride day with Johan Rockström as part of The Sustainability Dialogues podcast series
A collection of pro-snowboarder Xavier De Le Rue's routes from his podcast series
In the Sustainability Dialogues climate scientist Dr Johan Rockstrom and I, discuss the global climate crisis.
The first adventure shows a route off the backside of Mont Fort in Verbier, Switzerland. Along the way Johan and I noticed a number of glaciers that have receded over the past years - starting with the glacier de Tortin which you cross as you go up in the Mont Fort lift.
The second shows the famous Vallee Blanche, looking at the recession of the Mer de Glace glacier in Chamonix, France.
The third route shows my recent bike adventure exploring the mountains in my backyard of Verbier. Sometimes we don't need to travel far to have an awesome adventure and explore the wonders of nature.
The forth is one of my favourite Backyard Adventures - splitboarding across the four valleys of Verbier.

A weekend electric bike tour with the Escargot - that got a little rowdy. Recommend not bringing a kid in a bike seat for this one, but a great tour with a nice single track descent.
Backside of Mont Fort to Mache - lunch - and home again!
