Description

Maneuver through tight, technical chutes and swoop down wide-open valleys with this selection of ski tours around Tignes and Val d'Isère.

There’s a plethora of summits to set your sights on. The 3,330m summit of Méan Martin gives you sweeping views down across the Italian Alps and up to Mont Blanc. Experienced ski tourers who want to feel the altitude and practice their kick turns on steep gradients should try the Pointe de la Sana SE Face adventure. This is an epic day-long exploration, peaking at a 3,435m summit with spectacular 360-degree panoramic views.

For beginner backcountry skiers, Refuge de la Leisse Ski Tour is the perfect start. This half-day route takes you right through a nature reserve and into the heart of the valley surrounded by striking peaks. As you relax in the sunshine at the Refuge, you may spot the illustrious Bearded Eagle circling in the sky, who, along with many other rare wildlife species, inhabits this nature reserve.

Each adventure in this guidebook has its own character, its particular gnarly spots, and its special viewpoints. We challenge you to try them all!
