Long ago, the Bisse du Ro had its source in the Ertenze Valley and flowed towards Crans-Montana, bringing water needed for crops. Today, you will most likely do this walk leaving the resort and heading up to the Rawyl Dam.
Taking you from Vermala to the source of the Tièche, the Bisse du Tsittoret is one of the most well-trodden walking paths in Crans-Montana. All the way along your walk, allow yourself to be charmed by unique views of the most majestic summits in the Valaisan Alps!
Tseuzier is a region at the top of the valley, not far from the peaks of the Bernese Alps. Even if the weather is beautiful everywhere else in the Rhône valley, there are chances that you could get caught in a cloudburst coming from the other side of the mountain.
High-altitude hike from the Col du Sanetsch (2,252 m) across an other-worldly landscape of sculpted rock formations below the Tsanfleuron Glacier. Refreshment stop at the Cabane de Prarochet.
This Marmot path will lead you in the footsteps of Crans-Montana's mascot. A walk to discover at your leisure.
After the hike up to Cry d'Er, the path that leads you to the Violettes is covered by limestone scree which is much appreciated by marmots. The hike then continues in the valley below the glacier, crosses to alpine pastures, follows the bisse and ends at the ecomuseum and the Relais de Colombire.
Until the end of the 19th century, the region of Crans-Montana was only inhabited as far as the upper villages. From 1300m, you would have found "mayens" (a little chalet belonging to the pastures) and above them, the alpine pastures where cattle were brought to graze. The hike begins by cablecar, then the walker crosses mountain pastures from where they have magnificent views, and continues to the Colombire Alp Museum, which explains the history of transhumance.
Panoramic hike across alpine pastures and through fragrant forests up to the idyllic Lac de Tseuzier. Gentle climb, ideal for families, partly along the Bisse de Sion irrigation channel.
