Tirol has grown to become known as a mecca of sorts for bikers. As the winter snow melts away, a different type of landscape and world emerges. Bike racks replace ski racks and trails re-emerge from beneath the snow.
If you’re looking for something epic, the Bike Trail Tirol is the longest mountain bike trail in the Alps. The 1,000-kilometer long trail loops around Tirol and has an elevation gain of 27,000 meters over its 32 stages.
Alternatively, check out the lift-assisted Tirol Mountain Bike Safari, a long-distance route of 670 kilometers. While over 32,000 meters of elevation gain, 15,000 are served by gondolas, so you can only imagine the views!
