Description

A few years ago the Stubai Tourist Board dreamt up the Stubai 7 Summits "challenge" in an attempt to attract more hikers and mountaineers to the region. They did an excellent job by selecting these wonderful mountains but why hikers weren't already flooding into the Stubai is a mystery.

The valley is home to several charming villages, a series of cable cars which provide excellent access to the mountains and, of course, some fabulous peaks. Ticking all 7 Summits will require you to be fit, confident scrambling on easy terrain and able to move safely through glaciated mountains. You'll also need a bit of luck with the weather, but that only adds to the satisfaction if you do manage to complete the challenge!

Doing all 7 in the space of a fortnight is a doable but challenging goal for those who really want to push themselves!

Adventures

Serles

The so-called “Altar of Tirol”, Serles is the most famous peak in the region, and rules the view above Innsbruck.

Habicht

A classic mountain day to one of Tirol's most famous and prominent peaks

Wilder Pfaff and Zuckerhütl

A fabulous mountaineering day over 2 peaks (the second of which is the highest in the Stubai) and on to a cable car.

Rinnenspitze

A classic there-and-back hike to a dramatic peak

Elferkogel

A wonderful, mid-length, circular hike with impressive scenery through the dramatic peaks of the Stubai Valley.

Hoher Burgstall

A beautiful summit which is famous for being the first ever Alpine peak climbed by Sir Edmumd Hillary!
