In the Havel lowlands north of Rathenow, the 10 km long Hohennauener-Ferchesarer Lake invites you to a very nice circular hike. The lake circuit is signposted, offers many possibilities for rest and refreshment and is very attractive both scenically and by the surrounding typically havellandic villages. The town of Ferchesar at the end of the lake was already a popular excursion destination for Berliners around 1920 as the "Pearl of Havelland". Semlin on the southern shore of the lake is now a popular and attractive holiday and recreation destination.
