Description

In recent years the advent of ebikes has seen a resurgence in outdoor enthusiasts taking to jeep trails on their bikes. Rides which were once the preserve of the fit and eager can now be accessed by anyone with the most basic of biking skills. The rides listed here are all suitable for ebikes and feature no technical riding at all, but they're all perfectly possible (and not overly strenuous) for those powered only by their legs.

There are 7 rides listed here and doing them will involve traveling all over the Zillertal, from the first series of mountains which tower over the entrance to the valley, all the way to the wild and remote summits at the far end of the Stillup and Hundskehl ranges. Suffice to say that if you ride all these in the space of a week, you'll have seen some of Austria's best scenery and had a drink in some truly spectacular mountain huts!

There are tougher biking challenges out there than the ones you'll encounter on these rides but if stress-free riding and big views is your thing, then this is the guidebook for you!

Adventures

Hundskehle

A fabulous, technically easy ride into a deserted mountain valley.

Penken Loop

A tough climb out of a beautiful valley leads to a ripping descent.

Kolmhaus Bike

Peaceful forest tracks lead to a gorgeous Tirolian mountain hut.

Stilluptal

Breathtaking, varied scenery makes this one of the best valley rides in Austria.
