A collection of shorter hikes and flat bike rides that all the family will enjoy.
The long and winding journey along steep mountain roads and through seemingly endless mountain tunnels is no doubt worth it when you finally arrive in Livigno. Its one of Italy's most isolated northernmost communities, sitting on a plateau circumscribed by the Livigno Alps. Temperatures remain cool, and the scenery remains dazzling. When you look out across the valley, you see lush forests, lakes, and folds of mountain ranges stretching into the distance.
Livigno also has a phenomenally well-developed network of routes and a top-notch lift system which runs all summer. If you then consider that two national parks, Stelvio and the Swiss National Park, are right next to Livigno, you have an overwhelming choice of adventures. To narrow it down, we have created a guidebook of short and easy routes that are suitable for families with kids. They range from a bike ride around the Lakes of Cancano to a tour of surreal sculptures in the woods.
