Arches Ultra Trail Race is a lower elevation run taking you along the border of Southern Utah’s treasured national park. With over 2000 natural stone arches, soaring pinnacles, massive fins, and giant balanced rocks, the striking beauty of the landscape will make it hard to not stop running.
As well as Arches National Park, the route also brings you past the mighty Moab cliffs and La Sals mountain range. Held annually in the middle of winter, the peaks are likely to be snow-capped, creating an unreal contrast of crisp white snow against raw red rock.
Average high temperatures at the end of January usually fluctuate around the mid-40’s, while the cold really sneaks in at night, with temperatures dropping below freezing. Racers are encouraged to camp at the finish line, so wrap up warm!
There are four distances to choose from: 9k, half marathon, 50k and 50-mile. Check out Mad Moose Events for all the details: https://www.madmooseevents.com/arches-ultra
