Description

The variety of hikes which can be found in Tirol is quite staggering - the mountains in the region are high and mighty but the valleys between them are peaceful and bucolic. The area is also littered with literally thousands of traditional mountain huts and visiting these only adds to the Tirolian trekking experience.

In this guidebook you'll find classic short hikes such as Innsbruck's Zirbenweg, journeys to the summits of Tirol's best known peaks like Serles and the Ahornspitze and unusual trips like the Krimml waterfalls and the Seefeld Lakes Loop. There really is something for every hiker in Tirol and you'll be able to find a trip in here which suits you regardless of your age, technical ability or fitness level.

The hikes listed are spread out across the many famous regions of the Tirol, and doing all 25 will take you to the Stubai, Zillertal, Wildkogel, Seefeld and all around the Inntal. The trips themselves are wonderful but the fact that they'll give you an excuse to explore this most famous of mountain regions makes them all the more appealing.

So get your hiking shoes on and get ready for views, knödels and weiss bier!
