Description

Whistler Blackcomb is by many measures the largest ski resort in North America. With over 8,000 acres of skiable terrain and 200 trails, it’s hard to know where to begin. Following The Wonder Routes is like being guided by a local- here you have an expertly crafted collection of routes each with its own special character and ability level. The routes will take you on a seamless journey around the mountains so that you get the most out of your ski day.

Families with young children will be in for an afternoon of fun on the Family Certified Route, which threads together a bunch of green runs, taking you to all the great child friendly adventure zones from Enchanted Forest to Magic Castle.

Adventure Itinerary:

Rendezvous Nintendo Game Lounge
Start with a blast in the Nintendo Game Lounge in the Rendezvous Lodge

**Magic Castle **
To get to Magic Castle take Expressway and then Easy Out, a couple of flat traverses with stunning views.

**PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola **
If you’re at the end of your day, you can take aptly named Easy Out all the way down to the bottom. Or if you want to keep on going, take the Solar Coaster Express and connect with the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, shooting over to Whistler Mountain.

Roundhouse Nintendo Game Lounge
Once you arrive on Whistler Mountain, check out the Nintendo Game Lounge in Roundhouse Lodge.

Chic Pea Hut
If you’re looking for a stop with quick and tasty grub, head down the learning zone Whisky Jack where you’ll find Chic Pea Hut at the bottom. Chic Pea Hut is family friendly and has a varied kids menu.

Bear Cub
From Chic Pea Hut, head down the extremely flat and easy going Pony Trail to the Papoose. Papoose is a very mellow, leisurely green with the added bonus of being largely uncrowded. From Papoose follow the signs down to the designated slow zone Bear Cub. A little ways down Bear Cub you’ll find the Tree Fort on your left.

Family Zone
At the end of Bear Club you’ll find Big Red Express, hop on and at the top you’ll find Ego Bowl, a gentle family-friendly run near the Emerald Express. Ski down Ego Bowl to the Family Zone.

Enchanted Forest
From the Family Zone you can enter the Enchanted Forest, which is full of beautiful glades and varied terrain, all very manageable for beginners. Follow Enchanted Forest down to the Emerald Express Chair. If you still want more, take your family down to the Mini Freestyle Garden under the Emerald Chair, and try out some features and berms.
