Livigno's managed trails were created to give everyone the opportunity to practice ski mountaineering, away from the slopes, but in controlled areas, where even the less experienced can find the right fun. They are paths with a development from 400m to 600m, ideal for beginners, but it will not be difficult to find athletes in training, thanks to their location in proximity to downtown. All of them are practicable in half a day, so you have time to experience all the other activities that the resort offers.
Livigno offers four managed trails, of different lengths and difficulty, marked by blue / orange poles and almost all allow the descent from the ski slopes in order to facilitate even the less experienced. The more skilled can try off-piste descents close to the uphill line.
Managed trails offer the advantage of being constantly monitored and groomed at every new snowfall, this allows to keep the snowpack under control and to close the routes in case the conditions do not allow to carry out the activity safely.
