Description

The Espace Killy - which comprises Tignes and Val d’Isère’s combined ski areas - offers an incredible variety of off-piste skiing for every level. Many of the classic off-piste descents of the area can be easily accessed straight from the lifts without the need for any skinning and sometimes require just a short hike. This makes the Espace Killy equally suited to freeride beginners as it does to pro-level shredders.

These descents offer a fantastic variety of skiing and are generally on wide open slopes taking in great scenery. The skiing is straightforward on all these runs. However, be warned; these lines still can present serious avalanche hazard and all the usual precautions must be taken. Just because they are not steep or exposed does not make them completely safe.

Skiing all of these would give any skier a great sample of some of the world-class ski terrain that the Espace Killy has to offer. The beauty of all of these runs is that they start very close to lifts, pass through remote feeling bowls and valleys before finishing right back onto the piste. Some of these descents are easy to escape back onto the piste from and some are more committing. All of them are epic!
