Here are five routes that will lead you up hills, along canals, through ancient woodlands, and around deer parks. As well as showcasing London’s green spaces, the routes are also filled with historical interest, from Victorian railways to significant graves and stately grounds.

All five routes lie within the perimeters of London, demanding no real transport efforts or planning. For a family day out to an enchanting deer park, follow the Bushy Park Circular Walking Route. If you are looking for a longer riverside amble, go for the Lea Valley Hike.
