Description

Whether you want a morning run through London’s greenery or you’re training for a mountain ultra and need to find some decent hills within the capital, this guidebook will point you in the right direction.

Explore Richmond Park’s wild bounds with the circular Tamsin Trail. This 7.3-mile route follows the park’s entire boundary, giving you a total 113m ascent. Double up on the loop, and you’ve got yourself a completely trail-based half marathon.

To get those forest feels, head to the historic Epping Forest. It’s a whopping 5,900 acres of woodland, open grassland, and rolling hills right on the edge of London. Try The Wanstead Flats Parkrun for a route around Epping Forest’s southern tip.
