The WAM 100 mile race is hands down, all at once the most stunning ultra in Canada and the most challenging race in the country, in fact it ranks right up there as one of the toughest 100’s on the continent.
Quality, challenging, professionally-run trail events in world-class destinations around Vancouver's North Shore and Sea to Sky Corridor.
Our goal at Coast Mountain Trail Running is to produce incredibly challenging, scenic, and professionally run events in one of the best running destinations in Canada - British Columbia's Lower Mainland.
Now in our eighth year, we've grown to include eight events, encompassing everything from 12kms all the way up to a 100-mile ultra distance.
In total, Coast Mountain Trail Running has donated over $100,000 to local trail and SAR organizations, including SORCA, WORCA, NSMBA, ACC, Squamish SAR, Coquitlam SAR, and North Shore SAR. Our goal going forward is to contribute over $50,000 annually to these great organizations.
Our races are situated in stunning locations in Coastal BC and the Sea to Sky on the unceded and traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples – xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. From cool temperate rainforests to high alpine glaciers and everything in between, our races showcase the best of coastal British Columbia's vast trail networks.

Our 25k route features the Comfortably Numb trail network via a single loop course that starts and finishes at Riverside Resort.
You do not get a break, you do not get to run downhill at any point along the entire route! This is a sustained climb of 1200 meters / 4000 feet, over a distance of just 5.75 km / 3.5 miles. What does that all that mean? A world of hurt, that’s what!
