Up until 1951, Saas-Fee could only be accessed by a mule trail from the valley below, making it an isolated little mountain village populated by a small farming community. Today, Saas-Fee is a highly desirable, chic ski resort, boasting old timber chalets and narrow car-free streets, which helps to maintain its old-world charm.
The skiing is also spectacular; Saas-Fee sits in a crescent-shaped valley, surrounded by north-facing, snow reliable slopes at altitudes between 2500 and 3500m, and a glistening 100m thick glacier. The resort is also enclosed by a ring of enormous mountains reaching heights of more than 4000m. This collection of adventures takes you to the summits of these surrounding peaks. Follow the whole list of 6 adventures for a challenging week-long ski tour itinerary culminating in summiting 4 4000ers.

One of the easier 4000m peaks in the Alps
A complicated and isolated glacial peak with amazing views.
Traversing this fine and isolated mountain from a beautiful and remote, unguarded mountain hut provides an aesthetic and excellent day.
A long but relatively steady ascent up a big remote glacial peak, with great views of the giant Weisshorn nearby.
A shorter day to yet another fine summit, allowing you lighter packs as you will be returning to the same hut.
A long journey to a watershed peak between the Saas and Zermatt valleys, with a nearly 3000m descent to finish!
