An awesome run we did with our daughters...lots of great views and summits!
Explorer, long-distance runner and endurance athlete Ray Zahab shares some of his favourite family running routes.
Canadian endurance athlete Ray Zahab has run 17,000km in extreme temperatures, crossing the Arctic, Siberian desert and South Pole unsupported. He was the first person to run the length of the “driest desert on Earth”, the Atacama Desert in northern Chile, solo.
But Ray can't be breaking World Records on exciting expeditions all the time.
Based in Quebec, Ray enjoys spending time with his family too. With two athletic daughters, they spend quality time together trail running, fastpacking, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing... you name it and they've probably got a favourite trail for it!
This guidebook shares some of Ray's favourite routes in Gatineau Park, Parc Montagne du Diable and Mont Morios. We think long-distance might run in the family...

One of my fave runs that is a mix of all terrain.
If you run it hard and the snow is deeps- its a lung buster
This is one of our fave family fast packing routes. Do it in a day, or camp above treeline. Last time we did it, we grabbed adjacent summits. Amazing route for a family adventure.
