Easily accessed descent from the highpoint of the Les Gets area
Gorge on this massive collection of freeride lines, taking you to the freshest powder and most exciting off-piste in Portes du Soleil.
With 450km of skiable area combining 12 lift-linked resorts, Portes du Soleil is a snowsports playground of truly epic proportions. The dramatic mountain panoramas, snow-sure conditions and reputation for sunny skies keep Portes du Soleil up there on the list of must-try alpine ski destinations.
Expert skiers and those gunning for a total adrenaline kick come here to attempt the famous “Swiss Wall”, a ferociously steep, mogul filled challenge that’ll turn your stomach when you peer down at it from the top. But if you want to venture further away from the pistes and onto the powder, there’s a phenomenal amount of freeriding to excite expert powderhounds.
There are so many that we had to split the routes into 2 guidebooks, this one features routes in Morzine, Le Verard, Chavanette and around. Check out the guidebook "Unlock the Adventure of Portes du Soleil #1' for freeriding lines around Avoriaz, Morgins and the surrounding area.
