Description

You need only walk down a Genevois street to see that the famous Swiss city is surrounded by mountains and opportunities for exploring the great outdoors. However, it can be a little tricky to know where head when you get the opportunity to leave town for a day on your skis. This guidebook solves that problem by suggesting 5 classic day tours for the adventurous ski tourer.

There's a couple of easier tours in here but most of them are quite serious and feature either tricky skiing, avalanche terrain or both. As such, do your research before embarking on these trips and make sure that conditions are as they should be.

When you're done with these tours, the Portes du Soleil region is highly recommended and is also close to Geneva -
