Powder-Packed Descents in La Plagne

The ski possibilities in La Plagne seem endless: its got a 225km of skiable area on its own, which doubles in size when you join it with neighbouring resort Les Arcs to form the gigantic Paradiski area. Its highest lift sits at 3,250m, on the snow-sure de la Chiaupe glacier, with fantastically long pistes running all the way down to 1,250m. The scenery is also beautiful -the area is located in the pretty Savoie region with the mighty Mont Blanc looming large.

Although the resort is mainly geared towards intermediates, there’s plenty of steep couloirs, 1,000m plus descents and tonnes of fresh powder off-piste to find. We’ve compiled 7 of the most serious freeride lines for you to try. For a steep line on a wild north face, go for the Cairn Couloir.
