Sedona’s mountain bike trails are renowned for being harsh and unforgiving. The trails here are filled with rocks, rocks, and more rocks, and every mile that you pedal in Sedona is hard-earned.
While the average technicality of the trails in Sedona is very high, a few stand head-and-shoulders above the rest. The three most technical legal trails in Sedona are known as the Three H’s: Hangover, Hiline, and The Hogs.
Start off easy(ish) by warming up on The Hogs. The intricate trail system here allows you to customize the length and difficulty of your ride, along with the possibility of sessioning certain tech features multiple times.
Next up, head to Hiline—one of the most famous and most popular rides in Sedona! The views from the main trail bench are to die for, and the rip down the mountain could be deadly if you miss one of the exposed turns.
Finally, finish your tech tour on Hangover—one of the most exposed, most technical legal mountain bike trails in the country. There’s nothing remotely easy about the riding on Hangover, with tight, demanding tech moves, steep rock rolls, and massive death-defying exposure.
Assuming you make it through the Three H’s in one piece, you’ll have one hell of a story to tell!

Hiline offers stunning views of the Red Rocks region from exposed mountainside singletrack. Finish it off with a raucous descent down a black-diamond plunge!
The Hogs are some of the most entertaining—and challenging—trails in Sedona, with technical rock rolls and rock gardens, cliff exposure, and of course—beautiful views!
