Description

Hiking in Austria’s SalzburgerLand means craggy peaks, emerald forests, and hearty feasts in traditional mountain huts. You’ll be passing through lush valleys and quaint pastures with the Pinzgau Grass Mountain chain on one side and the magnificent Kitzbühel Alps on the other.

With over 400km of hiking trails, there’s everything from gentle strolls on the valley floor to intense 60km treks, and summit climbs taking you right to the edge of your limits. The cable car runs all summer long, and you can pick up a "joker card" in most accommodations, which gives you free lift access—so there’s really no reason to stop exploring!

Here is a collection of hiking routes designed to fuel your wanderlust and inspire your adventures around Saalbach Hinterglemm.
