Description

Walk from deer parks to rock pools, through dramatic landscapes, and dip your toes in the North Sea along the North Norfolk Coastal Path.

You'll find everything from tiny lanes to very long stretches of wooden-decked paths across salt marshes, passing through sand dunes before hitting wide sandy beaches.

Spot crabs, hear the seagulls, and feel the sea breeze on this fantastic long-distance walking path! This is an 83-mile long-distance path running through the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, all the way from Hunstanton to Hopton-on-Sea.

Of course, it's possible to walk only a short section of the path if you only want to go on a few hours ramble, and this area of the UK is within a 2-hour drive from London, making it an excellent destination for a weekend away. For the seaside classic of slot machines on the peer, and takeaway fish and chips on the beach, go for the section of the walk starting in Hunstanton.

But if you would rather see charming stone-built cottages, sample fine ales, and you don't mind the price tags that come with it in the “Chelsea-on-Sea” of Norfolk, then go for the section of the walk around the upmarket village of Burnham Market.
