Jalapeno is the gladed run at the southernmost boundary of the resort.
Go right off the Stoke Chair and take The Last Spike road, through the opening in the avalanche rope fence and keep traversing until you cross Hot Sauce and can see the ski area boundary.
Drop in to the right and ski the spaced trees until the Last Chance road and another ski area boundary rope fence.
The skiing and riding here is great during the shorter, colder winter days in December and January.
Once the south-facing slopes are affected by the sun, any crust can make Jalapeno give you heartburn.
Traverse back to the right and the sometimes-groomed Hot Sauce for an open, easier option if conditions warrant.
