Description

Bill Wilson’s Way is the main beginner run under Discovery Lift.

This is a good area to learn to ski and snowboard, even though it has some funky fall lines that are challenging to novice riders, and Discovery Lift is not that easy for beginners to unload from.

This is where beginners advance to after “graduating” from Sorenson Park.

The run is named after Bill “Waxy” Wilson, a Colorado native who became the ski school director of Winter Park.

He argued for the development of the beginner trail that now bears his name.

He passed away from cancer in 1984, never seeing completion of this trail.
