A family-friendly hike on well-maintained mountain trails. In addition to beautiful vantage points and a clear mountain lake, we also find a place to stop for refreshments on the Gurschenalp. If you get tired, you can shorten the tour with the Gemsstock Railway.

Description

The tour takes us from Andermatt railway station, past the world-famous Hotel The Chedi Andermatt in the direction of the Gemsstockbahn valley station.

From "Neu-Andermatt" we hike through Alt-Andermatt to the viewpoint Männdli, where there is a large wooden cross.

We climb across to the crystal clear Lutersee, the highest point of the hike.

A rest at the fireplace is worthwhile there.

We reach the middle station of the Gemsstock cable car on the Gurschen via a short high path.

During the summer season 2015 the train will unfortunately not run.

The hike through the Bannwald forest, which protects Andermatt from avalanches in winter, is always worthwhile.

On the informative theme trail, we learn how avalanche protection works. equipment hiking boots, rain protection, rucksack with catering
