Description

The Salbit suspension bridge, over 90 metres long, connects the two SAC huts Salbit and Voralp.

The connecting path over the Salbit bridge requires alpine experience.

Among other things, it is necessary to overcome an iron ladder 45 metres long.

The exposed areas are set up in such a way that they can be secured with a via ferrata set.

A via ferrata set is strongly recommended.

The bridge can be reached from the Salbithütte in about one hour and 15 minutes. The Salbit Bridge was built on the model of the Nepalese hanging rope bridge.

It leads along the granite towers of the Salbitschijens and offers a magnificent view of the glaciated dam chain and the Sustenhorn. equipment * Clothing according to the weather * Good footwear * via ferrata set is strongly recommended (can be rented in the Salbit and Voralphütte) * Hiking poles are recommended
