FATMAP difficulty grade

Beginning at Treptower Park S Bahn station, turn left as you enter Treptower Park.

Follow the riverbank path in an easterly direction all the way along until you come to the end of Plänterwald where you need to turn right down Baumschulenstraße.

When you hit Neue Krugallee, turn left and then left again onto Rodelberg Weg, and then once again left on Köpeneker Landstraße.

When you come to Hasselwerderstraße, turn left and follow the road along the riverbank.

The road will eventually pull away from the river and cut through the Köllnische Heide forest.

Continue on Oberspreestraße, across the Lange Brücke, along Müggelheimer Straße which will lead you into Volkspark Köpenick and through the forest via Müggelheimer Damm.

You will eventually come to the path through Köpenicker Bürgerheide around Müggelsee and then Kleiner Müggelsee.

This is perhaps the nicest part of the ride through a gorgeous leafy forest with glimpses of the lake through the trees.

Exiting the forest hop on Triglawstraße and then Im Hasenwinkel.

Turn right onto Lagunen Weg and eventually onto Plutoweg and then Fürstenwiesen Damm, which brings you along the bank of Müggelsee but on the other side.

Carry along Müggelsee Damm, through the expansive Volkspark Wuhlheide and into the district of Rummelsburg.

Eventually, you will come out at Rummelsburger See, where you need to follow the path around the lake, over the bridge, and right back to your starting point at Treptower S Bahn station.

If you want to stop for a treat at the end of your cycle, head along the strip of kiosks by the river where you can grab a coffee, beer, pancake, pizza, and many other snacks, sit under an umbrella by the river and watch the world go by.
