Having succeeded in reaching the Gers (extremely steep) button lift, you may decide to lunch at the Gers Restaurant by the lake before continuing down to Sixt.
La Pépinière is a fairly flat blue run which runs alongside the lake and is a very gentle incline down to the junction with Cascades.
Sparsely populated with skiers, it is a calm, but energetic - as poling is paramount - ski.
Watch out for the restaurant's ski-doo towing restaurant-goers travelling back up this piste for their lunch (book in at this restaurant and access from the Cascades and you too could enjoy this novel way of travelling on skis!).
