Description

This walk follows part of the route taken by a small band of Norwegian resistance fighters who carried out one of the most daring and successful sabotage operations of the Second World War by blowing up the heavy water plant at Vemork power station. The route starts at the Rjukan Fjellstue, a mountain lodge, on a gravel road before navigating a rough forest path and later a steep descent down the gorge towards Vemork.

Information boards placed along the route provide details about the operation and the brave Rjukan men involved. Equipment
