Description

Kathmandu is located through gate 6, just south of High Camp, off the top of the Tram.

Exit the Tram and turn left around the pool and head down Shooting star adjacent to Bailey's Beach.

From the base of Baileys Beach chair follow the Mountain Run for a very short distance until you see an opening in the rope line on your left.

Go through gate 6 and bear left, possible with some slight walking.

Ski down Hanging Gardens until the pitch steepens and this is the area of Kathmandu.

Kathmandu is a steep, east facing area with trees, rocks, chutes and cliffs.

Kathmandu connects with Land Bridge, which will take you to the bottom of Silverado.

You need to be a solid black skier who can handle steeps, and negotiate around rocks, etc., to have fun on this trail.

It's best to go with someone who knows the area well for your first few times.

Pay attention to the rock and cliff warning signs and to any directional arrows.
