The Via Engiadina follows a route not far above the floor of the Upper Engadin valley.
The varied hike takes you through Swiss stone pine and larch forests, across little, crystal-clear mountain streams and Alpine meadows, and past idyllic mountain huts and traditional Engadin villages, accompanied all the while by a breathtaking view of the unrivalled Upper Engadin scenery and the glistening glaciers. Stage 2: Silvaplana - Samedan Once you have crossed the Julier Pass road, you will soon be rewarded with a superb view across the expanse of the Upper Engadin, with St.
Moritz in the foreground.
The route passes the El Paradiso mountain restaurant and up to the Corviglia.
After a short, steep climb, you soon reach the deep blue Lej Alv, where the trail descends once more to Marguns.
The Via Engadina then continues via the Munt da la Bês-cha high-altitude trail along the Piz Padella.
Tradition is actively cultivated in Alp Muntatsch.
After a rest stop amidst the wonderful Alpine scenery, you can tackle the descent to the picturesque village of Samedan with renewed vigour. *¶ So lake ¶ Engadin St.
