Description

This run is reserved for experienced experts.

In 500 vertical feet, you will encounter a steep face, a narrow couloir, a mandatory drop and an often-untracked apron below.

Dieter's is rarely skied.

Start at the top of Horseshoe ridge beyond the big cornice that builds above Foreign Exchange.

The snow fills in deep here.

Watch for avalanches, as getting caught in a slide here could be fatal.

Note that once through the gates, few hazards, such as cliffs, rocks and other concerns are marked.

All of Northway is avalanche-prone terrain.

Ski and ride with a partner and carry the proper equipment.

As the slope steepens sharply, trees and cliffs hide the view.

The main chute is on the left.

Note that the bottom of this chute ends in a cliff.

It is possible to work the trees on the right rib, but they are thick here and a fall could be disastrous.

The glorious part of this run happens below the chute, where it opens to an often untracked apron.

Enjoy your turns here.

You deserve them.

Continue to Otto Bahn and follow this run to the base of Northway Chair.
