The starting point for this hike is Prätschli Hotel (final bus stop).

First we walk along a slightly ascending Alpine road offering magnificent views of the valley opposite.

Before the upper Prätsch lake a narrow path branches off, leading across the sandy soils past Lake Scheidegg.

Shortly afterwards we reach the highest point on the trail and then it's all downhill. Enjoy the superb view of the Schanfigg Valley below.

At 1933 metres above sea level, the Ochsenalp provides the ideal opportunity for a break.

Refreshments are available in summer on the alp, which is also a very popular meeting place for bikers. We gradually descend through the clear larch and spruce forest on a path offering increasingly remarkable open views into the valley.

Shortly after the "gate" we come to probably the most beautiful stretch of path and a striking view of Güdaspitz.

At the place sign "Löser" we cut cross the raging Urdenbach, which can swell dangerously during thunderstorms, sweeping heaps of debris along with it.

The path now levels out and takes us through Bleiswald, before descending around 200 metres shortly before Tschiertschen.

The village of Tschiertschen read 1,343 metres above sea level and offers a number of resting places for weary hikers to kill time before the next PostBus to Chur.

From Chur, we then travel by Rhaetian Railway back to Arosa. *¶ So lake ¶ For Supported Areas GEO-Tracks GmbH Zugerstrasse 1 CH-6330 Cham Web: E-mail: equipment
