The Walen Path is a unique hiking trail leading from the Brunni region to the Bannalp region (above Wolfenschiessen). This trail starts at Ristis.
Families with children love it here.
Between the summer toboggan run and the Ristis mountain restaurant, there's a huge playground.
The theme is "Hop, Jump, Swing and Have Fun" - and there are plenty of toys to help kids do just that. Up in the hills of Walen there's a large grill station with a great view of the midlands.
Other highlights include a visit to Ziegenalp Oberdorf and the barefoot trail around Lake Härzli.
On the three paths around the lake you can see all sorts of medicinal herbs. The destination of the trail - Bannalp - is one of Nidwalden's treasures.
This family-friendly hiking area and its mountain lake are embedded in a high valley that impresses with its powerful pre-alpine mountains.
Grill stations with firewood make it easy to have a BBQ near Lake Bannalp. #Note(s)# For hiking, follow the logo on the yellow signposts. *¶ So lake ¶ Obwalden Tourism Bahnhofplatz 1 CH - 6060 Sarnen Phone: +41 (0)41 666 50 40 Fax: +41 (0)41 666 50 45 E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org Internet: www.obwalden-tourismus.ch equipment
