Description

To approach the Doomsday Ramp, park 5.7 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon at the head of Mineral Fork Canyon.

Pass through the gate and follow the old mining road as it switchbacks through the lower canyon, then continues straight up the upper canyon to the headwall.

From here it's best to hit the ridge to the lookers right of the peak, then follow the ridge to the summit.

From the top of Peak 10,800 at the head of upper Mineral Fork you'll drop in angling towards the skiers right following the short and steep ramp.

The slope is nearly fifty degrees in pitch, but only for a short distance until it empties into a short couloir for a few hundred feet, then it opens up into the "Room of Doom" apron for a great finish.
