Description

A very popular hike starting from Obertauern.

Follow the long-distance hiking trail into the Seekarhaus.

Up to the fork (known from Krummschnabelsee).

To the right (no.

702) the Schrotterweg uphill, past the beautiful chapel, shortly afterwards, to the right over the little brook further the path to the Schönalmbahn mountain station.

Here the path leads steeply up to the left, surrounded by beautiful alpine flowers.

The last meters along the stony terrain, you come along to the worm wall saddle, then a short ascent leads up to the Seekarsattel (2,130 m).

Down it goes, to the left the dark green Grundlsee and past a lush alpine flora.

In the flat meadow area you cross a lively stream and reach the Oberhüttensee-Sattel directly.

The cabin's to the left of the lake. After a short rest you can walk back to Obertauern via the Vögei Alm. equipment
