The Brunni Path is a unique panoramic nature trail.

Seven kilometers long and with an altitude difference of 300 meters, it takes about 2.5 hours to hike. It leads through beautiful alpine meadows with a variety of flowers and it offers a unique view of the surrounding mountains.

The trail is well developed and safe to follow even in wet weather.

Along the way there are three places where you can have a barbecue picnic. The motto of the trail is: "A path through the mountain habitat".

To inform hikers about nature and its connection to humans, there are 12 large boards that provide details on geology, flora and fauna, mountain forests and the relationship between tourism and the mountains.

To draw attention to biodiversity, about 140 plants along the way are labeled with small signs. As part of the "Artifex Montanus" project, Swiss wood carvers created the assortment of sculptures that are on display along the trail.

For children, the summer toboggan run is a bonus attraction. The purpose of the Brunni Path is not to instruct, but rather to promote an understanding of nature, to sharpen the eye for tiny details and ultimately, to convey inner values. #Note(s)# You can tackle the Engelberg-Ristis leg by cable car. *¶ So lake ¶ Obwalden Tourism Bahnhofplatz 1 CH - 6060 Sarnen Phone: +41 (0)41 666 50 40 Fax: +41 (0)41 666 50 45 E-mail: Internet: equipment
