Analysing terrain data
"Why Not" is another black diamond experts only run located just down the hill from "Why" and across from the top of the Cloud Nine lift on the skiers left of "Lower Olympic." This run is short, only 200 vertical feet, but accesses challenging terrain for expert skiers.
From the trail sign, head into the wide open group of trees and begin your fall line descent.
As you continue downhill, the trees will open up, giving you better freedom to navigate the moguls.
The trail steepens here, so maintain your composure all the way down to the cat track.
Views of the Maroon Bells and Pyramid Peak, all over 14,000 feet are incredible.
Best to catch this run on a powder day!
