Description

Alan Phipps is a wide, groomed, beginner run that starts right below the Superpipe, to the left of the tunnel.

It follows Dark Territory Terrain Park (on the right) all the way to Snoasis Lodge where you can enjoy a beer on the deck and watch the action in the terrain park.

This trail is rated green, but is more blue in steepness, and can be overlooked by the masses on a weekend.

For this reason, it gets less icy between storms, and it’s awesome for making fast GS turns top to bottom.

The left side of the trail gets very slanted midway, so stay right near the terrain park.

Allan Phipps headed the first Winter Park Recreation Association in 1950.

The Denver attorney was inducted into the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame in 1988 as a leader in the sport of skiing.
