Description

Exit to the L at the top of the Herse lift.

Start for a short distance on the Pylones piste which is nearly flat, then continue straight on under the rope to what was a glacial remnant but no longer is.

Now head down gentle slopes, linking nice patches of snow in between quite a lot of rocky patches- there are a number of lines here.

Broadly you are trying to descend down and R to access the impressive bowl itself below the big cliffs, which is very sheltered and hence holds good snow.

There is often a steepish entry but it is a concave slope, becoming less steep and broader as you descend.

You can take any number of lines in a broad fan, all of which put you onto the Pointe de Vue piste as it traverses back to Lognan.

Early season this run can be quite rocky and if it hasn't snowed for a while it can even get moguls as this is Chamonix off piste!
