Description

Follow the hiking trail past the sports centre, slightly uphill, after approx.

500 m turn right following the yellow marking Tagel uphill until shortly before the fence, turn right again following the marking to the Edelweissalm until above the Mankeialm.

At the flat plateau (formerly the mountain station of the short Plattenkar lift) the path leads steeply uphill to the left, crosses the little stream and now the path goes moderately on the slope towards south/east to the Schaidberg mountain station.

Now the forest path goes downhill, past the valley station of the drag lift and after 300 m you turn left to the climb, up to the Ernstalm.

Continue south along the solid path, climb over a gate and in front of the two hunting lodges follow the path uphill to the Twenger Alm See - steep uphill to the saddle (view of Schönalm Lake), steep uphill to the right, along the ridge over a ridge and finally a few climbing passages to the summit cross. Once you have reached the plateau, simply enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains of Obertauern, the Weißpriachtal, the Schladminger Tauern and the Dachstein. equipment
