Description
Pioneer is a good option on storm days when the upper mountain beginner trails are closed or have bad conditions.
It starts skiers left off of First Venture.
It is a little steeper and narrower at the top, so make sure you have a decent novice turn and stop before trying this run.
It fans out and opens as you proceed, so it gets less crowded as you go down.
It's a pretty short run, about 85 vertical feet.
There is an adjacent tubing run with a small building with bathrooms at the base.
A free shuttle runs between First Venture and the main ski area.
