Description

Döeberitzer Heide is a 3600-hectare nature reserve containing 980 protected plant and animal species, just west of Berlin.

Formerly a military training ground, the area has been transformed into a natural paradise where around 90 bison, 24 Przewalski horses, and 90 red deer now roam the forests and grasslands. The area is also a favorite spot for Berlin’s mountain bikers, as it has lots of varied terrain and tonnes of trails to try.

Here is a popular loop tour, starting and ending at the Döeberitzer Heide car park next to Neu Fahrland.

Its a big loop tour around many of Döeberitzer Heide’s mountain biking highlights. Sources https://www.doeberitzerheide.de/ https://www.sielmann-stiftung.de/doeberitzer-heide/
