Description

Paradise Bowl lives up to its name.

It has a little bit of everything for advanced and expert skiers and riders.

The upper section is cleaved by a narrow chute.

The far right consists of Paradise Run and the protected trees just below Gate 4.

The far left offers a narrow gully below an open face that is steep enough to challenge advanced skiers, but not extreme.

Enter either through Gate 3 or Gate 4.

If you enter through Gate 3, ski/ride just inside the gate to another shallow ridge angling north.

The terrain just below where these two ridges diverge is quite steep, and not often skied due to rocks and trees.

Work either right towards Paradise Run and Gate 4, dropping in somewhere along the way (see descriptions of each) or head left towards the open face that offers the most vertical of the entire bowl (approx.

800 feet).

This is also the easiest section of Paradise Bowl and an okay choice for an adventurous advanced intermediate wanting to challenge him or herself on a double black.

Once inside the Northway gates, cliffs and other hazards are not marked.

This terrain is avalanche prone.

Ski/ride with a partner and carry the proper equipment.
