Description

In the right conditions this is a fantastic steep slope that should not be missed by expert skiers.

This run is most fun in powder or smooth wind drifted snow.

Stay away from this when the surface is firm. Access is from the Alpine Bowl or Summit Six Lifts.

Take the High Traverse Trail hiking from either the top of the Alpine Bowl Chair (exit left) or up the ridge from the Summit Six Chair toward the Lower Saddle.

Ski through the Lower Saddle.

Traverse around the far end heading to the south (skier right).

Continue around the high point to your left until you are looking back down toward the front side of Alpine Meadows.

To the skier’s left is High Yellow Face which is a little more of an open slope.

To your right is High Yellow Gully which is narrower.

Both are steep and exciting for experts.

This NE facing run receives a lot of snow during the usual storm patterns.
